None of us have a fathom of what it is like in Alaska, say nothing about these remote areas, and they are far and few between, where wolves are creating serious problems. Us down here should butt out.

I get comments and emails everyday, including death threats, because I believe our wildlife needs proper managing. Sometimes I don't like the management used but in this case, I have to believe Alaska knows better than anyone else what is best for Alaska.

Did you see this story today? http://mainehuntingtoday.com/bbb/2008/09/09/michigan-wolf-pack-slaughters-50-domestic-geese-and-ducks/

Where a woman lost 50 geese and ducks to wolf slaughter in UP Michigan? The real kicker here was the statement made by the wolf "expert" who works for DNR.

“There’s never been a human related wolf conflict or aggressive wolf in the lower 48 states,”

I think it is sad that Sarah Palin is being viciously presented as a cold blooded killer by animal rights and left wing extremists. She is a strong woman and I have said from the beginning she can handle herself.

And this is another example of why Alaskans don't necessarily look favorably on those from the lower 48!

Thank You so much for your realistic look on animal control!!! I am a firm believer that sometimes the preditors must be managed. I live in Wisconsin were the DNR have played with the animal population extremely.
They said we had too many White tail deer, their answer was to release wolves. We are fairly populated in WI... I don't care were you go, we are not huge and rough like Alaska! We have had problems with the released wolves, now that the deer population is pretty well gone, many families have reported having to defend their children, playing in their own backyards... These wolves are microchiped, if we take them out, we get a hotel stay we can't say no to, payed for by the people of our great state!
Bleeding heart animal groups who live in the concrete jungles should worry about their own problems, like welfare and homelessness and murder happening were they live... Leave people to manage their own living areas!
